GLENN: Is it curious to anyone that MSNBC and the mainstream media are nonstop on Mel Gibson's racism. Is this a surprise to anyone? I mean, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I'm like, okay, the guy is completely out of control alcoholic, deep, deep psychological problems the first time. And then he went to rehab and I'm like, okay. Because you want to like Mel Gibson. You're like, okay, all right, maybe he's better now, and you kind of kept your fingers crossed but you wouldn't leave any of your friends or your children alone with him? And so you just kind of went along with it. Then the next outburst happened. I don't remember what it — oh, it was the guy when he was promoting this new movie and he just was like, just angry again. And I'm like, this guy is out of control. I haven't seen a Mel Gibson movie in a long time because you know who the guy is. Now there is this videotape of Mel Gibson where he has threatened to kill his girlfriend and he calls her the N word and I mean, he's a racist, he is a raging lunatic. Okay, so I got it, I got it. Now, how does this affect my life? See, the racism, the institutional racism that is happening now does affect your life. Once you have the message that he is a racist — because racism does exist and Mel Gibson is one.

STU: This is an unbelievable story. He's caught on tape saying the craziest crap I've ever heard.

GLENN: Didn't that happen last time?

STU: It's not shocking but still when a celebrity gets caught in something like that, I mean, jeez.

GLENN: Correct, correct. But running it 24/7 as opposed to —

PAT: The Black Panthers.

GLENN: "I want to kill all white babies."

STU: Yes, yes.

PAT: And maybe back to back. Maybe show racism in America, here's one side of it, here's the other side of it.

GLENN: Yeah. But not exclusively.

STU: No.

GLENN: Not exclusively. They are not running the Black Panthers story.

PAT: Wow.

GLENN: And yet they are running the Mel Gibson story.

PAT: Yeah.

GLENN: And the Mel Gibson story is a story, and he is a racist. I mean, there's no way to defend the guy. Which sucks because now all those great movies have been wrecked forever in my head. Not a good guy. But I don't understand the exclusivity of it.
